Have you seen Elisabeth Hasselbeck? Fans may have to miss the famous TV personality after reports circulated that she is taking a break due to a surgical procedure.
According to a news report published by The Daily Mail, Hasselbeck has been reported absent for her co-hosting duties on "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday as she has underwent a surgery on Tuesday.
Steve Doocy, Hasselbeck's co-host, said during the show that the 37-year old TV host will not show up for a while as she has had surgery. He added that she will be discharged in a couple of weeks.
For the moment, Hasselbeck would be temporarily replaced by another Fox News personality, Kimberly Guilfoyle, E! Online reported.
Doocy went on to say that Hasselbeck is "doing fine" and that "she's on the mend."
Another one of her co-hosts, Brian Kilmeade, according to E! Online, told viewers that Hasselbeck is "strong," "tough," and even a "better athlete than [him]."
He also told viewers that they had heard from Hasselbeck and that she is "feeling good." Allaying viewers' fears, Kilmeade assured that the TV host would be back on set in a short while.
Meanwhile, weekly celebrity and entertainment magazine "Us," said that a Fox spokesperson spoke to The Wrap in behalf of Hasselbeck. The spokesperson said that the TV host asks everybody to respect her wishes for privacy.
E! Online noted that Hasselbeck has also been silent on Twitter and that her her last post was dated October 10. She is also not active on Instagram. Her last activity was dated October 6 when she posted an inspirational quote stating, "Just because time doesn't stand still, doesn't mean you have to rush. Dare to stand still & see something precious."
Examiner.com, meanwhile, said that it would not be surprising if Hasselbeck has breast cancer -- considering a previous interview with her where she hinted she was ready for the condition.
Not a very long time ago, Hasselbeck was interviewed by Italian American TV personality Giuliana Rancic. In the interview, Hasselbeck shared that she has a high risk for breast cancer, the Examiner.com reported.
Hasselbeck noted that her mother had breast cancer and she expects to have it too. With that, she said she has been "aggressive" with checkups and that she has kept an eye on her diet.
Hasselbeck started her carreer in television in 2001 after being chosen to compete on "Survivor: The Australian Outback" where she placed fourth. She was then chosen to become the host of the Style Network's "The Look For Less" in 2002. A year after, she was chosen to host "The View."
She was then 26 years old. She moved to Fox in 2013.
She is married to former NFL player Tim Hasselbeck. They have three children -- Grace, 9; Taylor, 6; and Isaiah, 5.
