According to a list provided by App Store Official Charts and a list published by The Associated Press, newly released survival horror video game "Five Nights at Freddy's" topped the Paid iPhone app list. The game which was developed by Scott Cawthon was only released August this year, freddy-fazbears-pizza.wikia.com said.
The main goal of the player of the game is to survive the night at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza while avoiding the four animatronics namely Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chicam and Foxy. This app is also on the second spot of top paid iPad apps this week.
This week's top paid iPad app is "Minecraft". The game which is about breaking and placing blocks is also the second on top paid iPhone apps list. "Minecraft" is available for Mac, Xbox, Playstation, iOS, and Android. Minecraft.net claims that over 16 million people have already bought the PC/Mac version of the game.
Also included on the top paid iPhone apps list is a game popularized by TV show host Ellen DeGeneres. "Heads Up!" which costs $0.99 gives a player seven virtual card decks in various themes. The cards contain the answers. One of the players has to hold the iPhone on the forehead. The player then has to guess the answer through the clues given by other players not holding the phone. The phone also records videos of each round.
Meanwhile, social media apps continue to dominate the list of top free iPhone and iPad apps with Facebook and Facebook Messenger apps remaining on top of the lists. Other apps which made it to the list are photosharing app Instagram, video streaming site Youtube, photo messaging app Snapchat, video call and voice call app Skype, streaming radio app Pandora Radio, Calculator, streaming Internet media provider Netflix, music streaming service provider Musify, Pinterest, and mobile web mapping app Google Maps.
Games that made it to the list of top free iPhone and iPad apps meanwhile include Gameloft's "Cars: Fast as Lightning," Activision Publishing, Inc.'s Skylanders Trap Team, and Zynga Inc.'s "New Words with Friends."
Other games that made it to the top paid iPhone and iPad apps list this week include "PAW Patrol Rescue Run HD," "Mickey's Spooky Night Puzzle Book," "Terraria," "Buddyman: Kick 2," "Geometry Dash," and "Plague Inc."
Also included in the list are note-taking app Notability, text keyboard Swype, Afterlight Collective, Inc's Afterlight, Sleep Cycle alarm clock, XtraMath, and Photon Flash Player for iPad.
