Apple is gearing up for another big event happening on October 16, and it seems the entire tech world is already looking forward to it.
As matter of fact, Apple, in its official website, will live stream the event through a special webpage beginning at 10 am, Pacific time, and 1 pm Eastern time, reported the Apple Insider.
Last week, the giant tech company sent out invitations that read: "It's been way too long." to select media outlets and important guests.
Christian Today disclosed that the special keynote address for the October 16 Apple event will be held at the Infinite Loop Campus in Cupertino, California.
Here are the Top 5 things that people should know beforehand to give them a better idea on what's in store for Apple's October 16 event.
1. The event venue is smaller compared to last month's Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus unveling.
The Cupertino campus is the same venue where Apple launched the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c last year. "The place is noticeably smaller compared to the Flint Center for Performing Arts where the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were launched last September 9," Christian Today specified.
2. Apple will unveil more than one new iPad line products
The company dubbed the October 16 occasion as an Apple iPad event so it has been expected by the global tech community that at least two new iPads will be unveiled.
The PC Advisor said it's 99% sure that it will see a new iPad on October 16. "The new 10-inch iPad will be the sixth generation of the iPad. It will probably be called the iPad Air 2 or new iPad Air rather than iPad 6."
Apple is also reportedly launching the 7.9-inch iPad mini 3. But except for a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, an A8 processor, an iOS 8 operating system, and a better camera, the new iPad mini 3 would almost be the same as its predecessor, noted the PC Advisor.
3. New software upgrade to be released too
The company shall be launching the OS X 10.10 Yosemite, the next generation Mac operating system, according to Apple Insider. The new system shall be able to support iOS8 continuity features like app handoffs and voice calling through a connected iPhone, among others.
Apple is expected to make the new operating system publicly available for Mac users for free after the October 16 event.
4. New Macs will be out too
It is very likely that Apple will also use the October 16 event to launch a new desktop which it will call iMac, reported the PC Advisor.
"Rumor has it that Apple will launch a 27-inch 5K Retina iMac during the event, which is very costly but also pretty amazing, particularly for photographers and designers," PC Advisor added.
The same report noted that Apple may also launch an update to the Mac mini, which was the reason why the company had that tagline on its invitation. The last model of the Mac mini came out early last year and it is certainly due for an update.
5. Time for Apple TV to step out too
It is believed that an update to the Apple TV will also be launched during the October 16 event.
PC Advisor observed that since the last Apple TV was launched, set-top box and streaming services have grown in popularity. The company made a minor update to Apple TV in early 2013. Rumors have it that the company would launch a fully-fledged Apple TV on October 16.
