The story of Mary of Scots and Francis continues in "Reign," and the second season is reported to be even better.

In an exclusive sneak peak, E! Online has confirmed that Queen Mary (Adelaide Kane) is growing a spine and putting Queen Catherine (Megan Follows) in her place.

Kane said, "Mary's getting her little manipulation cap on. Mary starts  taking on more of those manipulative, Catherine-esque elements...even without realizing it, she's becoming more and more like Catherine."

But more than that, Kane said on TV Line that she will be spending "a lot of the first three episodes naked. We're sexy this season."

According to The Wrap, "Reign" will continue on pushing it as far as they can on sex for the second season, despite the controversy that it caused, when explicit scenes were cut from broadcast.

Producer Laurie McCarthy explained, "Sexuality is a huge part of this show. It's just a big part of life, especially when... you know, there are people who don't really have jobs. They're just kind of hanging out. But it's also tied to power and the relationships between men and women."

So what else can you expect from the season premiere of CW's period drama? Zap2It has some ideas:

1)    The plague will infiltrate the royal court, and some people will die. Zap2It suggested that someone fans know from season 1 is included in the death toll. Who it is, that's the question.

2)    Mary is going to rule France while Francis is away looking for Lola and his love child. Of course, considering that ruling used to be Catherine's turf, the older queen was not happy about it, because really, who would be happy to have less power when everything used to follow her every whim?

3)    New characters will be introduced, and apparently, they are two very good-looking dudes. Say hello to Lord Stefan Narcisse and Lord Louis Conde (played by Craig Parker and Sean Teale). You can never run out of eye candy in these kinds of shows, and Bash and Francis just aren't enough.

Oh, and bonus spoiler: it's obvious that Nostradamus (Rossif Sutherland) may have good looks if it weren't hidden under all that beard, but surprise, ladies: He's going to be clean-shaven in Season 2, and will probably have more girls falling for him than Francis or Bash or Leith.

"Reign" returns for its second season on October 2.
