So good news everyone. A reputable screenshot of a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 "About device" display was received according to website BriefMobile. If the screenshot is true, then it looks like the Galaxy Note 2 will be launching on all four major U.S. carriers.
AT&T was a given, since it exclusively helped launch the original Galaxy Note in 2011. A leaked screenshot and RDF files from Samsung indicate that a Galaxy Note 2 could be hitting T-Mobile and Sprint as well.
T-Mobile also recently launched the original Galaxy Note, but shortages have the public speculating that the company is more interested in releasing a Galaxy Note 2.
Samsung revealed the Galaxy Note 2 to the world on August 29 at a Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin, just as the IFA consumer electronics show started there.
The device will feature a 5.5-inch display, a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, an 8-megapixel camera, and the S Pen stylus.
Samsung has given no pricing, U.S carrier, or release date information. The only inkling they gave of a release date is that it will be out in the United States "later in 2012."
European, Asian, and Middle Eastern markets will getting the Galaxy Note 2 around mid-October.
Samsung is pushing the Galaxy Note 2 as a creative device. The teaser trailer and the hands-on video stress the importance of the S Pen stylus.
Another feature of the Galaxy Note 2 that Samsung is touting is its multitasking ability, allowing users to run multiple apps at once.
