Is Rihanna the next Bond Girl? Or will she play a villain in "Bond 24"?
This speculation is not surprising, given RiRi's reputation as a serious fashionista and sexy artist. However, there have been rumors saying that the singer will be joining the upcoming Bond movie.
"There have definitely been discussions of her joining the cast to be a Bond Girl," a source had reportedly told Hollywood Life. "Something that they have done in the past with people like Madonna, it will be a brief part of the film if she ends up making an appearance."
"They are actually looking for her to do the theme and the role would just be an added bonus," the insider added.
Looks like it will be a cameo role, then. It appears the stylish artist is getting a good deal with her involvement in the film given that she not only gets to sing the theme, but will also be sharing scenes with some of the stars of the franchise.
Meanwhile, another source was quoted by Yahoo! Movies saying that Rihanna is actually a huge Bond fan and would be happy to appear in one of those flicks.
"Rihanna is a big fan of the Bond films and has always loved the idea of appearing in one," the mole said. "She didn't even need to think about it, she knows she wants to do it. She's really excited."
According to the site, if she does get to join the "Bond 24" cast, this will be her third movie project to date.
"The singer made her slightly inauspicious acting debut in 'Battleship,' and followed this by appearing as herself in 'This Is The End.' She is also set to be heard as the voice of a character in next year's animated movie 'Home,'" the entertainment news source said.
The upcoming spy flick will still be directed by Sam Mendes and will start shooting in December this year, according to Metro. It is anticipated to drop in theaters next year in November.
Meanwhile, it's been recently rumored that RiRi is plotting to help BFF Katy Perry diss Taylor Swift at the upcoming MTV EMAs, which is happening on November 9, Hollywood Life said.
"She and her friends, including Rihanna, are planning on totally embarrassing [Taylor] at the awards in front of the world," an insider reportedly revealed. "They've even said they're just going to talk all the way through her performance and make fun of her dance moves."
If something like this does happen, we'll probably hear all about it in Tay's next album.
