On Friday, Latinos Post ran a poll and asked fans which Star Trek villain they would like to see in the upcoming Star Trek 2 film. Out of 767 total votes, an overwhelming number of people, 46 percent to be exact, opted to write in their responses.

Benedict Cumberbatch, who will play the "big bad", told Screen Rant that his role is "yet another thing I can't talk about. I'll tell you this, it's iconic and it's exciting. I'm bored of denying that it's Khan now, because people keep saying it." Even though a number of people demanded a fresh face in the poll, Cumberbatch's use of the word "iconic," indicates that Trek fans will recognize his character on some level.

Statistically, 13 percent of readers voted for Kruge, 8 percent for Sybok, 13 percent for Soran, 20 percent for Gul Dukat, and 46 percent for "Other."

Comments indicated a desire to see the actor portray Squire of Gothos, Gary Mitchel, Finnegan, the Horta, Gorn, Trelane, Harcourt Mudd, Q, Khan, Balok, Commander Kang, God, the Borg, Commandor Kor, Trelane, Kolath, Planet Killer, Talosian, Data, and Vjar.

A few readers even wrote in "Tribbles," Star Trek's small kitten like fuzz balls that first appeared in the Original Series' episode "The Trouble with Tribbles."

Star Trek: The Original Series was created by Gene Roddenberry and first aired in 1966, starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, Nichelle Nichols, and Walter Koenig.

Star Trek 2 opens on May 17, 2013 and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Qunito, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Alice Eve, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Noel Clarke, and Peter Weller.
