The rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens has been raging for several years. Fans and critics are eagerly anticipating their upcoming match on September 11 in Baltimore.

Going into Thursday night's game, the Steelers are 1-0 while the Ravens are 0-1. Pittsburgh won their season opener against the Cleveland Browns despite the initial odds on September 7. The Ravens struggled and lost against the Cincinnati Bengals.

In a report by USA Today, oddsmakers are still trying to determine the effects of running back Ray Rice's suspension on the Ravens. The team recently let go of Rice, who was also subsequently placed on indefinite suspension by the NFL due to a domestic violence charge. The Ravens plan to move past the debacles as soon as possible.

Bernard Piece of the Ravens had six carries for 14 yards then fumbled during the first half in their own territory. In the report, Coach John Harbaugh took Pierce out of the field and replaced him with Justin Forsett who had 11 carries for 70 yards plus a touchdown. Harbaugh clarified his decision saying, "It's just that Justin was rolling. ... You don't lose faith in a player because of a bad play. ... I have the utmost confidence in him."

Mike Tomlin, coach of the Steelers, was hesitant about the team's run defense, according to the same USA Today article.

In an article by Rant Sports, experts predict that both teams will combine for at least 70 points at the end. Although the two rivals are solid defensive teams, their strategy can change significantly as they try to outscore each other instead.

The sports site adds that Justin Forsett is expected to have 50 to 70 rushing yards and a touchdown. The running back will be a good replacement for Ray Rice. Steve Smith will be a contributor, but not the player to watch out for.

Le'Veon Bell will also be an asset for the team when it comes to ground yards. He garnered 197 yards against Cleveland and is expected to clock in at least 200 yards in the next game, Rant Sports writes.

In an article by Bleacher Report, the Ravens and Steelers have four wins each in their last eight games. In the past two seasons, they also split the season series. The Steelers are preferred over the Ravens to win the game on Thursday night. The final score, however, will be a close one. In the past season, all their games ended with a difference of only three points or less.
