One of the biggest video games trade fair, Gamescom, will be held in Cologne, Germany, and one of the most anticipated franchises is expected to do a live streaming of its gameplay.

According to a report by the Epoch Times, the hour-long preview event of "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" will be held at the 1,600 seater Musical Dome at 2PM EDT/8PM CET on August 13, Wednesday. Twitch.tv will be doing a live stream of the event for those who cannot make it to the annual trade fair in person.

First debuting at E3, many were surprised with Kojima Productions' decision to walk the fans through with a massively-open mission of "Phantom Pain." Featuring the voice of Kiefer Sutherland, the preview was nonetheless a sight to behold for fans of the "Metal Gear" franchise.

Marty Sliva for IGN wrote, "Phantom Pain is an immediately stunning game. The scope of the mountainous landscape littered with canyons, livestock, villages, and creeks is staggering. Riding your horse across the plains brought shades of Red Dead Redemption, even down to the way the music would swell as you neared a dangerous area."

Lucy O'Brien, also from IGN, chimed in and said, "A sense of playfulness makes a welcome return. While Ground Zeroes was a great game, it went for a much heavier tone than in previous installments. But fultoning animals and waddling around in your tricked out cardboard box in The Phantom Pain is pure comedy, while incidental animations like your horse just casually taking a crap suggest Kojima's toilet humor is back with a welcome (depending on who you talk to) vengeance."

It could be recalled that "Phantom Pain" is an open world action-adventure stealth video game helmed by series creator, Hideo Kojima. Kojima has since said at E3 that "Ground Zeroes" was actually a prologue to "Phantom Pain," the video game sequel which allows players to take the role of Big Boss/Venom Snake.

Although fans of David Hayter, who was originally the voice behind Big Boss, were disappointed with the change in direction, HITC Tech believes that the change is permanent, considering Kojima's actions in improving the game already beloved by fans for its playful sense of humor.
