A new Instagram post has confirmed reports that the latest installment of the robot apocalypse franchise has been christened with a new name. Arnold Schwarzenegger has recently shared a photo of himself sitting on a director's chair with the words "Terminator Genisys" emblazoned on it as he looks on what appears to be a digital screen.
He wrote a caption along with the photo, which read, "Hasta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of @TerminatorGenisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding. From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup - we couldn't have done it without you. I can't wait to see our finished project and I know we'll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator. On July 1, 2015, I'll be back."
The Austrian actor seems to show no signs of slowing down. Daily Mail said the 67-year-old is expected to grace the big screen alongside Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones," Matt Smith of BBC series "Dr Who" fame and "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" star Jason Clarke. Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi and Byung Hun Lee are also expected to be starring in the flick. The film, directed by Alan Taylor, is expected to be released in theaters on July 1 next year.
In his interview with MTV, Schwarzenegger discussed some interesting facts about the film. "Terminator deals a lot with time travel, so there will be a younger T-800, and then what that model does later on when it gets reprogrammed, and who gets a hold of him. So it will be all kinds of interesting twists in the movie, but I feel so good. The way that the character is written, it's a machine underneath. It's this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator's flesh ages, just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages," he said.
Although there is little to know about the story,it would be interesting to see how the star-studded cast will portray their roles. The 'Mother of Dragons' would be playing Sarah Connor, Courtney will be playing Kyle Reese while John Connor, the fictional couple's offspring, would be played by Jason Clarke.
