It appears 'The X Factor' may have found its new host among the Kardashian clan. Entertainment gossip site, TMZ, reported that Khloé Kardashian Odom was the favorite to become the new female host for the competition show.
According to TMZ, the E! star "has at least an 85% chance she'll get the job." The Fox show, which counts judges Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid for its second season, has yet to confirm a host.
Cowell, producer and creator of the show, told reporters that he was looking for two hosts, one female and one male, to replace season one hose Steve Jones, E! News reported.
According to E! News, Cowell said, "That will make it more interesting. There's so much talking on these shows, 11 or 12 minutes. It's too boring, as Ryan [Seacrest] demonstrated, for one person to say everything. You've got to mix it up a little bit. I kind of know what we're looking for, but that's why we screen-tested people."
Producers, however, have some time to choose their hosts. 'The X Factor,' which premiers on September 12, begins with the audition rounds. Luckily, fans can expect a decision "in the next seven days" Cowell told E! News.
Other previously rumored host choices include Kelly Osbourne, Mario Lopez, Terrence J, Erin Andrews, Mike Catherwood and Stacy Keibler, E! reported in July.
'The X Factor' airs September 12 and 13 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
