One of the biggest perks of the latest "NBA 2K" videogame is having rapper Pharrell as the official curator of the soundtracks. "NBA 2K15" promised to have the biggest collaboration of soundtracks in the history of the game.

According to USA Today, superstar center Shaquille O'Neal auditioned through a video, to become part of the soundtrack list.

The video was hilarious, showing Shaq initially calling out Pharrell and giving the latter all the reasons why he should be included in the latest installment. The whole clip lasted only 44 seconds but has garnered positive responses from NBA fans and video gamers throughout the United States.

Shaquille O'Neal is not a stranger to rap and hip-hop dancing. In 1993, he showed thousands of fans that he has the rapping skills with his platinum-selling album "Shaq Diesel". It may actually be a great idea to have him join the "2K15" group, considering how the game developer has garnered praise and outsold its competitors in previous years by including famous names in its official soundtracks like Jay Z, Nas and Kanye West among others.

The promo clip was created to spread more information about "NBA 2K15" which is set to release in October 2014 and playable in platforms like PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The video featured Shaq busting a beat to prove to Pharrell that he has the rhythm and freestyling skills.

In an MTV.com report, Shaq said in the video, "Yo, Pharrell, this is Shaq / Put me on two-K-one-five track" He added, "I won't let you down, that's just dumb/ Me and you both went platinum... sign me up Pharrell." Other funny lines were added including, "Hi my name is Shaq, and I'm here to stay." He ended the video by playfully picking on the person who gave the beat saying, "That was the worst beat box ever."

In a report by Billboard.com, Pharrell Williams is the official soundtrack curator as well as executive producer of the new "NBA 2K15" game. "NBA 2K" has been the best-selling basketball video game franchise for years. Pharrell said on July 14, 2014 at Madison Square Garden in New York that he was honored to be in charge of the selection process of the game's soundtrack. Previously, Jay Z was in charge and helped bring in other big names in the music industry to catapult the game's popularity further. Pharrell said about being given the position, "I couldn't believe my name got tossed in the hat!"

Kevin Durant will appear on the cover of "NBA 2K15". Below the title, a statement reads, "Music Curated by Pharrell Williams".
