Very recently, we reported about the casting of Elizabeth Lail and Scott Michael Foster as Anna and Kristoff, respectively. However, it was speculated that the announcement of the lucky actress who will play Queen Elsa would not be long in coming as it is the only "vacant" role remaining. And we were right!

Finally, we now know who's going to play the Snow Queen on the "Frozen" arc of "Once Upon a Time" - Georgina Haig. If you compare her to Disney's animated version of Princess Anna's older sister, you may find she actually has a resemblance to the popular character. Did the producers make the right choice in casting Georgina?

Although the pretty blonde actress is not new to the entertainment business, only a few has ever heard about her. Let's get to know the newest cast member of "Once Upon A Time" shall we?

Here are 5 things to know about her:

She's Aussie

According to The Age, Georgina is "Melbourne-born" and started out in the industry in her own native Australia. She has been in "The Elephant Princess," and Australian children's TV series, among other Australian TV shows and films. She also completed her studies at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2008, according to her Wikipedia bio. She only started dabbling in American TV shows and films later in 2011 and 2012.

Her Birthday's Next Month

ABC News noted that she will be turning 29 on August 3, which is a month from now. We bet this casting will serve as her early birthday present.

She Lost Juicy Roles in the Past

It can be very well said that this time is Georgina's time to shine, as she was not as lucky in the blockbuster casting department in the past.

Georgina was rumored to be among the actresses considered for Andromeda in 2012's blockbuster "Wrath of the Titans," MTV reported. However, the part was eventually given to Bond girl Rosamund Pike. Aww. But that's not all.

She was also said to be one of the contenders for the role of Gwen Stacy in "The Amazing Spider-Man," which starred Andrew Garfield and was released in 2012. However, according to Deadline, she lost the role to Emma Stone, who went on to become Andrew's leading lady on and off screen.

She Was Joshua Jackson's Daughter

Well, in the FOX science fiction-themed TV series "Fringe," that is. ABC News said this scenario came to be due to a "time travel situation." Fans of the show will understand how this came to be.

She's Not Sure If She's an Actor or an Actress

On Georgina's official Twitter account, she described herself as "an Australian actress/actor who can't work out whether to call herself an actress or an actor." "The debate continues," she added. This begs the question: is she actually talking about her gender preference or being politically correct with labels?
