Looks like viewers still can't get enough of those post-apocalyptic, zombie-riddled scenarios that appear on the big screen, as well the boob tube, every now and then.
Ever since horror drama TV series "The Walking Dead" hit the small screen in 2010, audiences have continued to rave about and watch the show, even eagerly anticipating the premiere of upcoming seasons.
This time is no different - in anticipation of Season 5, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon in the series, have revealed some clues about what to expect from the show once it opens.
"These scripts are the best scripts so far, and I'm really just excited to be back at it," Reedus told Entertainment Weekly. "There are a lot of characters right now, so there are a lot of really different personalities on set. And it's super interesting, everyone's really bringing it. It's going great. It's so dynamic because it's so fast-paced and so complicated. It's great to be back."
Fans will also be glad to know Reedus is still reprising his role - and loving it.
Come to think of it, will there be new cast members added to the show? He did say there are "a lot of characters" involved.
"Everybody on the whole team is so badass right now," he continued. "It's interesting, because a lot of personalities are clashing, or characters' personalities are clashing. But yeah, we definitely have Rick back."
Clashing? Now that sounds really juicy. Who could be causing the interpersonal fireworks, we wonder?
Reedus also touched on Scott M. Gimple's return, who will be back for a second season as the series' showrunner, EW said.
"Scott, he's so good at his job, and he's such a great storyteller and such a good writer. He has this thing planned out to the end, I think. He's definitely very qualified for the job," Reedus shared. "I never felt like we weren't stable, though. I feel like we're as stable as we ever were, just we have the confidence that we have this team back. It's such a well-oiled machine right now. It's great, and everyone feels super confident."
Looks like the actor is definitely enjoying his stint at "The Walking Dead." Good to know!
Previously, Reedus shared a Photoshopped snap on Instagram showing him and "Game of Thrones" actor Peter Dinklage side by side. Both happen to play characters that use a crossbow to eliminate their enemies.
"In the photo Reedus posted, he is seen complimenting his counterpart on a scene in which Dinklage kills his own father," The Daily Mail noted. "The meme, created by German graphic designer Charlotte Basters, shows Reedus with his arm around Dinklage's shoulders telling him 'Good job with the crossbow, man!', and Dinklage replying '...thanks.'"
