Brandon Flowers, cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs, will most likely be traded to either the Jets or Falcons. The Chiefs decided to cut Flowers and as a result, the team saved more than $14 million in cap space for the next two years.

Jamison Hensley of ESPN said, "Don't count out the Baltimore Ravens", as the team is interested in acquiring the newly released cornerback. The Ravens are looking for a good replacement for Corey Graham and are seeking for a third cornerback, aside from a right tackle or safety. Now, the Ravens are relying on Asa Jackson and Chykie Brown but it is still not clear whether the two can do the job as well as Flowers can.

According to Fansided, the Jets and Falcons are quite interested in acquiring the cornerback after his recent showings in the NFL. When it comes to his position, Flowers is quite dependable. However, the Chiefs found it challenging to make him play press-man. The Jets and Chiefs were about to finalize a trade for Flowers in May 2014. However, John Idzik, general manager of the Jets, did not make it happen.

The Minnesota Vikings also seemed interested in acquiring Flowers. The Vikings are planning to be more aggressive in pass coverage. Mike Zimmer, coach of the team, seemed to have a plan on how the Vikings can benefit from a player like Flowers in terms of defense. Fans are hoping that they would see less of Josh Robinson in the season. Other teams in the suitor list include the San Francisco 49ers, the Titans, the Steelers, Redskins and Browns. However, the Texans and Falcons are the more aggressive ones.

Flowers entered Pro Bowl in 2013. However, the 28-year-old was ranked only No. 87 in a list of all cornerbacks. During the previous year, Pro Football Focus gave him a much higher standing within the top 10. In an article on Rant Sports, Flowers prefers to play on the outside because of his rather small 5'9" 187-pound frame. Experts say Flowers already said that he wanted to leave the Chiefs after he was forced to play press-man. He played in 13 games and had 68 tackles, seven pass defenses, one sack and one interception. In the Top 50 Best Available Free Agents list by NFL Trade Rumors, Flowers is at No. 1.

Perhaps a move to a team that better appreciates his preferred position will show Flowers' true worth.
