Sandra Bullock has finally broken her silence about rumors of her and "Captain America" star Chris Evans dating.
Rather than keeping her lips shut about the matter and letting her silence speak volumes to fans and the media, she chose to go the other way by rolling with the punches and coming out no worse for wear - and leaving a trail of laughs as well.
When asked about the rumored romance during an interview, Sandy responded, "You guys are a little behind. We've since married and it started breaking apart, so we separated," according to The Daily Mail.
The Decade of Hotness Guys' Choice Awards winner didn't stop there. She continued to comically dish on the topic with the following statements: "We filed for divorce, and I hope everyone can respect our privacy. But we're going to remain friends and share responsibility of the farm animals we've taken on, because you just can't abandon the animals."
Way to go, Sandy! If you can't beat 'em, just make things up and go with the flow! Or was she really just making them up?
Some fans may observe that the actress' recent hilarious quips on rumors of the romantic kind are familiar. During the promotional jaunt for "Gravity," it can be recalled that the 49-year-old award-winning actress parried talks of a George Clooney romance with humorous quips. After George joked that Sandra drunk dials him every night, she hit back by saying, "I'm so embarrassed for him. It's a booty call. But he wants the commitment and then marriage and I'm like, 'Dude, I don't have the time.'"
"He's all, 'But I'm not a one-night stand kind of guy.' 'Well, then. I can't. Drunk dialling is what it is, George. I just need an hour of your time,'" she added, as noted by NineMSN's Celebrity Fix.
We all know that the George Clooney-Sandra Bullock romance rumors died down soon after the pair kept up their funny exchanges in their encounters with the media during their public outings. She must have found the technique very effective, so it's no surprise that she's using it a second time with the recent reports linking her to a much younger Hollywood star.
Whisperings of a budding romance between the actors began last month after both were photographed dining out together a couple of times, New York Daily News said. A source had since said that the two "are not in a relationship, but they are definitely hanging out and are in the early getting-to-know-each-other phase.
"They haven't put a title on it, but they really like each other," the insider added.
