Jennifer López will release an autobiographical book on October, a project that began as a diary during her first tour and where she reveals the secrets of her failed marriages and one of the most decisive moments in her life.
In an interview with People en Español behind the stage during the 2014 Billboard Awards where she won the Icon Award, JLo said that her book didn't began with the inteniton to "bare her soul" and with time she realized that everything she wrote into paper like a simple diary was a book.
"Everything began as a diary on the year i was on tour... As I went through my day, it became something else," explained the Diva of Bronx. "Suddenly I surprised myself, and I said to myself 'My God, I'm writing a book'".
On subjects relevant to her life, Jennifer López admitted to feeling nervous to reveal important details; however, she said that her experience is being shared to keep others from suffering like she did.
"Even today I'm still wondering: 'Should I publish this book?'", said the Puerto Rican singer. "I thought about it well and I put it in a sentence because I don't want the book to be misinterpreted as something it is not. I'd rather share what I've learned to help others."
On her separation with Marc Anthony in 2012, after an eight-year marriage, JLo said that this period was a "moment of great transformation" in her life, during which she processed many changes where she had to cover professional commitments and her tasks as the mother of her twins.
"It was a moment of great transformation in my life. I had processed many changes and I had to face the fear of never touring before and be a single mother. It was a time of great daze for me," she told People.
"True Love" will be a book published in English and Spanish, edited by Penguin Group USA.
"One of the most definitive moments of her life in a two year journey as an artist and a mother," said the singer's advertisers through a press release. "López faced her greatest challenges, identified her greatest fears, and it made her emerge as a stronger person than she has ever been," they added.
