A California woman had a huge scare when she found an enormous python snake curled up in the toilet in her College Station, Texas home.

Verónica Rodríguez, age 50, told The Eagle that she discovered the snake earlier this month in the bathroom, the same place where she would bathe her pets, two guinea pigs which could have been eaten by the snake.

According to The Eagle, the police believe that the African python could have sneaked into Rodríguez' house when the woman left the door open after bathing her pets and setting them in a couple of open air corrals in her home's back yard.

The woman said that she heard strange noises when she was outside her home with her pets; however, when she checked the bathroom she didn't see anything strange. It wasn't until later, when she had need to use the bathroom, that she found the huge snake curled up inside the toilet.

"I heard some noises in the bathroom, but when I went in I didn't see anything. Later, when I needed to use the bathroom, I saw it curled up. I almost got scared to death," the woman told the quoted newspaper.

According to the website of Fox 29, the woman immediately called 911 and the police of College Station and animal control officers arrived at the home and managed to remove the snake, placing it inside a city garbage bin as a temporary receptacle for the reptile.

Neither Verónica, a single mother of a high school student who was not home when the incident took place, nor her two pets were injured after the encounter with the dangerous snake.
