The "Concord" is flying soon! Yes, flying to retailers near you this weekend!
Four more sleeps and the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Concord" will finally be in stores - and in your shoe collection.
"The plot thickened with respect to this anticipated pair of Air Jordans recently when Nikestore announced that they'd be launching at 10AM EST this Saturday instead of the normal 8AM time," Sneaker News revealed. "The change in the time is no doubt most exciting for those of you on the West Coast, who no longer have to deal with waking up at 5AM in order to track your sneakers down (Unless you're involved in a line up situation)."
Describing the appearance of the much-anticipated footwear, Baller Status has this to say:
"The low top version of the 'Concord' colorway features the same detailing as the original hi-top -- including patent leather with mesh uppers, carbon fiber and subtle pops of Concord."
According to Complex, this model was first seen on none other than Michael Jordan himself many years ago, during the championship parade celebration of the Chicago Bulls in 1996. Back then, people wondered whether such cool pair of kicks could ever be theirs as well, so they could be like MJ (at least in getup). And they kept on drooling over these shoes over the next few years as the "Concord" wasn't made available to the buying public.
However, come May 3, all that will change. Finally, despite the nearly two-decade gap, these black-and-white beauties will drop at select retailers and at Nike's site.
You can also buy a pair of these puppies at Wish or on eBay right now - that' is if you're willing to pay nearly double the original selling price of $150 just to get these iconic kicks.
