Digital Spy reports that Zack Snyder has called on Hans Zimmer to score "Batman vs Superman."
According to the outlet, the German film composer and music producer is set to work on Snyder's upcoming film after wrapping up work for the sci-fi movie "Interstellar" which is due out November of this year.
"We've already had a couple of chats, and once I finish the movie that I shall not talk about I will probably head over to where Zack is shooting his movie and just hang out a bit and see if we can come up with any ideas," Zimmer told Digital Spy.
Incidentally, Zimmer is the man behind award-winning film scores for "Man of Steel" and Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy composed of "Batman Begins" in 2005, "The Dark Knight" in 2008 and "The Dark Knight Rises" in 2012. He admits that his involvement in the said films puts him in an awkward position with "Batman vs Superman."
"That's my problem, that's my dilemma. I don't want to betray, if that's the right word, the 'Dark Knight' movies. That was Christian, it was Christian's role," he told Digital Spy.
He added, "It's not just that it was nine years of our lives, so you want to stay honest and honourable to that period. So it's really about, 'Is there something else I can find that I haven't tapped into?' Which I don't know until I sit down with Zack."
"Batman vs Superman" welcomes Henry Cavill who will reprise his role as the Man of Steel. However, the upcoming film will not be featuring Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader, a role which has been controversially given to Ben Affleck.
According to Cinema Blend, the upcoming movie will not only star Batman and Superman as Wonder Woman has also reportedly been confirmed to be part of the film. Princess Diana of Themyscira's role will allegedly be played by Gal Gadot, notes the outlet.
The "Man of Steel" sequel will reportedly hit the big screen on May 6, 2016, claims Cinema Blend.
