Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has been revealed to the world last Wednesday at the IFA 2012 in Berlin and is set for an October launch, however the price for the device has not been revealed.

It remains to be seen if the US will even see the Galaxy Note 2 following the patent infringement trial between Samsung and Apple. The iPhone company won the trial and has been on the hunt to ban several Samsung products.

But let's say the Galaxy Note 2 won't get banned, what will you expect to spend for it?

According to Pop Herald, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has seen its prices cut following the Galaxy Note 2 announcement, and this is likely to lure customers to buy the Note 2 in October.

The cost for the Galaxy Note 2 is expected to be between $800 and $900 for an unlocked device. Although it's not known which mobile carrier will have the latest Note device, customers can expect it to be $199 to $249 when signing on to a two-year contract.

AT&T helped launch the original Galaxy Note but no word yet if it will sell the successor of the product. T-Mobile began selling the original Galaxy Note in July, knowing that the Galaxy Note 2 will be revealed a month later. If T-Mobile follows the trend, they could sell the Galaxy Note 2 by next summer, since they began selling Galaxy Note 1 almost 11 months after its debut at IFA 2011.

Verizon is unlikley to carry the device due to plans of releasing a five-inch "phablet" from HTC. Spring has never sold the original Galaxy Note 2 and hasn't commented on selling the newer device. Both Verizon and Sprint are preparing to launch the iPhone 5, and perhaps working in Apple's favor.

In case you've missed the features on the Galaxy Note 2, the device will be available in both 3G and 4G LTE with a Super AMOLED HD screen measuring 5.5-inches and a resolution of 1,280x720. The Galaxy Note 2 will run on the latest Android operating system (Jelly Bean), and have a 1,6GHz quad-core processor. Cameras will see improvements with a rear-facing camera with eight-megapixels and a front-facing camera with 1.9-megapixels. The S Pen Stylus will make a return and will have major features on the latest Note device than before.

And in a breaking development, the device will also come free with 50GB of Dropbox storage, as further supported by Fun47.
