The smartwatch battle is on with new reports saying that Apple made 65 million orders for its highly talked about iWatch. It is expected to go full battle with other similar devices like the Moto 360 and the Samsung Gear 2 Fit.

The iWatch is anticipated to be perfect for the health conscious market, according to Yahoo News. It is speculated to have advanced sensors that can monitor heart rate and other health statistics. There are also other claims that it would feature a sapphire glass screen similar to several iPhone 6 display rumors. It is also predicted to have a curved design that would somehow look like the Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit.

On the other hand, several other materials lead to the news that the iWatch launch date will happen during the third quarter of 2014, MacRumors states. The report which came from Taiwan's Economic Daily News claims that the rumored iWatch will be manufactured by Qanta Computer along with TPK and Richtek Technology who will supply chips and the touch panels made out of sapphire. However, its processor will be developed by Apple, but it will be Samsung who will outsource the production of the chips.

Other iWatch news includes the possibility of it having the UV light exposure sensor, states Apple Insider. A Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis adds that the mentioned sensors might come from Silicon Labs in Texas which announced the arrival of new sensors a couple of months ago.

Apart from the speculation that these iWatch sensors can track ultraviolet sun exposure, Silicon Labs also stated that it could help in heart rate analysis and even render gesture control. This is all with the help of infrared methods along with ambient light process.

Curtis also fearlessly predicted how the Cupertino-tech giant may sell up to about 10 million iWatches before this year ends, that is if the Apple smartwatch will have its debut date as rumored.
