The actor has denied the pregnancy rumors surrounding his fiancé, Amber Heard, in an interview on the "Today Show."

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor cleared up rumors outright though "Today Show" anchor Savannah Guthrie was quite hesitant on how to go about the questioning.

"I feel a little guilty for asking this, but there is a story out there [today] that you guys are expecting," Guthrie starts off. The 50-year old actor threw back a question saying, "Expecting what?" to which the anchor replied, "A baby!"

Johnny Depp looked surprised in the video, remarking, "A child? Good god, what do you think I am, a savage?" He quickly added, "No, no truth to that. [It's] not a shotgun affair."

The actor did not only put off his 27-year old fiancé's pregnancy rumors. He also described Amber Heard as a "wonderful girl." He adds that Amber is "sharp as a tack. A southern belle and sweet as can be, and very good for me."

The two were first rumored to be have been engaged after the actress was reportedly spotted outside of a restaurant wearing a ring, as reported by the Daily Mail. The report notes that the engagement ring fell to the side, meaning that the ring was a bit big for the actress.

True enough, Johnny Depp was wearing a "chick's ring," as he refers to it, on the "Today Show" interview. When Guthrie said, "I think you look engaged," the actor simply snapped his fingers in response and said "Thank you."

Depp was on the show to promote his upcoming movie, "Transcendence." In the movie, the actor plays the character of Dr. Will Caster, a terminally ill scientist. According to IMDb, Dr. Caster uploaded his mind to a computer, granting him power beyond his wildest dreams, and soon rendering him unstoppable.

"Transcendence" hits theaters April 17. Watch the trailer below.
