"Call of Duty" recently released the trailer for "Episode 2: Mayday" from its Devastation DLC, Polygon reported.

The video opens with a distress call from a research vessel stationed somewhere in the South Pacific, accompanied by images of the ship's empty or abandoned facilities.

A body of what appears to be an alien creature is also shown lying on an examination table. What follows next are in-game and cinematic footages of members of the Quick Reaction Force taking on various creatures. Based on the clips, the operatives are taking a beating from the aliens.

"Mayday" is the second episode of "Extinction" which first debuted on the Onslaught DLC. In "Episode 1: Nightfall", a team of elite soldiers is sent to investigate an Alaskan research facility after the scientists stationed there lost control of the alien specimens they were studying.

In the second episode, the Quick Reaction Force teams heads to the Tasman Sea in the South Pacific to conduct a similar mission. According to the "Call of Duty" website, "In Episode 2: Mayday, the Quick Reaction Force team is sent to investigate a high-tech ghost ship adrift in the South Pacific. To deal with the insidious wall-crawling 'Seeder' and skyscraper-sized monstrosity known as the 'Kraken,' your team will need new tactics and new weapons."

The trailer also revealed that two more episodes will be released after "Nightfall" and "Mayday". These can be accessed through future DLCs of "Call of Duty".

The Devastation DLC is expected to hit Xbox Live on April 3. Aside from "Mayday," the latest pack also features a new weapon called the Ripper. This two-in-one weapon offers medium to short-range capabilities die to its ability to transform from a sub-machine gun into an assault rifle.

The DLC also carries four new multiplayer maps that will take gamers to various parts of the globe and offer unique combat scenarios.
