On March 25 a number of DVD and Blu-Rays will be released.
"The Wolf of Wall Street" : After a successful run in theaters Martin Scorsese's Oscar nominated film comes to DVD and Blu-Ray. The film tells the story of Jordan Belfort from his rise to becoming a wealthy stockbroker to his fall involving crime, corruption and the federal government. The film was nominated for Five Academy Awards including Best Picture and stars Leonardo DiCaprio in one of his most celebrated roles to date as well as Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, and Matthew McConaugehy.
"The Past" : Asghar Farhadi's followup to his Oscar winner "A Separation" will be released on a Blu-Ray combo. The film, which won the Cannes Best Actress award was one of the most critically acclaimed films of the year but only made a minor $1.3 million at the box office. The film starring Berenice Bejo, Tahar Rahim, tells the story of an Iranian man deserts his French wife and her two children to return to his homeland. Meanwhile, his wife starts up a new relationship, a reality her husband confronts upon his wife's request for a divorce. The film was nominated for the Golden Globe as well as the Broadcast Critics award for Best Foreign Film .
"The Truth of Emanuel" : Tribeca Film will release the Francesca Gregorini film for the first time on DVD. The movie, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and went on to become a festival favorite, tells the story of a troubled girl who becomes preoccupied with her mysterious new neighbor, who bears a striking resemblance to her dead mother. The film stars Jessica Biel, Kaya Scodelario and Alfred Molina and while its theatrical release was very short in January, the movie could obtain a following on home video.
"Delivery Man" : After having received negative reviews and bombed at the box office, the Vince Vaughn starrer will attempt to attract a new audience. The film, which is a remake of the Canadian film "Starbuck," tells the story of an affable underachiever who finds out he's fathered 533 children through anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years ago. Now he must decide whether or not to come forward when 142 of them file a lawsuit to reveal his identity. The film was directed by Ken Scott who directed the original film.
"Walking with Dinosaurs" : Fox will release the underperforming animated film which bombed at the box office. The movie tells the story of an underdog dino who triumphs to become a hero for the ages. The film was voiced by Karl Urban, John Leguizamo and Justin Long and will be released on both DVD and Blu-Ray.
"Odd Thomas" : Stephen Sommers straight to DVD and Blu-Ray will finally have a chance to be exposed to American audiences. The film tells the story of a short-order cook with clairvoyant abilities who encounters a mysterious man with a link to dark, threatening forces. The film stars Anton Yelchin and could become a cult favorite.
