Three months after his unexpected death, actor Paul Walker returns to the spotlight, or at least his close family does.

This time, the actor's mother, Cheryl Walker, has requested the custody of Meadow Walker, her 15-year-old granddaughter, since she claims that her biological mother, Rebecca Soteros, has a serious alcoholism problem.

According to entertainment website TMZ, Cheryl Walker presented a series of documents in which she assures that Soteros can't take her of her daughter, since, she claims, she is unable to do so due to her alcoholism.

The news come a month after documents leaked in which it was proved that the former "Fast and Furious" star had left an inheritance estimated to be $25 million dollars to his daughter, Meadow, an amount was later known to actually be closer to $16 million dollars.

According to The Daily News, Meadow had lived with her father during the past three years, after she ran away from her home in Hawaii, where she was raised by her mother, who was arrested twice for driving under the influence of alcohol in 2003 and 2013.

Since Paul died last November, Meadow has been living with her daughter in California, according to TMZ, and there is speculation that Meadow doesn't want to go back to live with her mother in Hawaii.

It's worth noting that although Soteros hasn't made any public statements, strong rumors speak of Paul Walker's ex agreeing to her daughter living with her grandmother in California. Likewise, the quoted website highlighted that the actor's will specifies that his mother, Cheryl Walker, is the best person to take care of the teenager.

Walker tragically died in a car accident last November 30, 2013, when the 40-year-old actor and Roger Rodas, his financial adviser, in northeast Los Angeles after going to a charity event to benefit the victims of the Philippines typhoon.
