Through a press release, actress Angelique Boyer dismissed the rumors of domestic violence from her ex-boyfriend, producer José Alberto Castro, previously said to be the main reason for the end of the relationship.
"To my friends and the media: Throughout my career I have tried to avoid replying to rumors about my personal life; however, I'm deeply sad and hurt for the series of defamations which, regarding to José Alberto Castro and the relationship I had with him, were published today. José Alberto only dedicated himself to take care of me like no man in my life has done before, he never attacked me physically nor verbally, and showed me during the time we were together, what a relationship is in regards to love, respect and integrity. My friends and most of the media know this is true, the rest is just defamations not only against José Alberto, but against me and it hurts the memories of my most important relationship in my life's most recent years. I thank those who have respected my and José Alberto's privacy. Thank you," wrote Boyer in the document published through her Twitter account.

The actress' statements come after Mexican magazine TV Notas published rumors, in which an anonymous source close to the couple said that Castro, 28 years older than Angelique, was aggressive and mistreated the young actress and she decided to end the relationship.
"Look, I find it very painful that such a talented and lovely woman was with such a noxious man who did not value or thanked that a girl like her laid eyes on him, I'm telling you as a gentleman, because I would be honored to have her next to me. Fortunately, they broke up, but not last week as they said on Twitter. It was since Feb. 8, she got tired of enduring his violence and broke up with him," the source told TV Notas.
Last March 11, Angelique Boyer announced her breakup with José Alberto Castro through a brief press release on her Twitter account.
