Singer Gloria Estefan will head the celebration of the LGBT community in Miami, repeating her support for the fight in favor of human rights and free love between same sex couples.
The LGBT community will carry out a parade on April 13 on the beaches of Miami, an event which will gather 80,000 people, according to E! Online Latino.
The website assured that the event's organizers confirmed the presence of Cuban singer Gloria Estefan, claiming that choosing her is a way of thanking her for her work in favor of supporting LGBT rights.
Quoted by E! Online, the Miami Herald reported that Estefan would lead the parade on Florida's beaches on board a convertible Rolls-Royce, and there is a programmed homage for choreographer Kenny Ortega, who has also stood out for his support of the LGBT community.
In an interview with Rainbow Times magazine, Gloria assured that in the case that any of children came out of the closet, she would fully support them, saying that the love for her children is greater than anything else, and that their happiness is the most important thing for her.
Currently, Emilio and Gloria Estefan are preparing the launch of a Broadway musical, based on their biography with which they seek to share with the Latino community the obstacles they had to face to reach their dreams in the US.
Gloria Estefan, born in Havana, Cuba, has fought to defend the Latino spirit in the U.S. Her work in music has earned her five Grammy awards and over 100 million albums sold.
On his part, producer and musician Emilio Estefan has been fundamental in the formation of various Latino stars like Thalía, Shakira, Ricky Martin, Jennifer López and Marc Anthony among others; which has earned him 19 Grammy awards and 30 nominations.
