A single mother from Texas was the lucky winner of a date with George Clooney himself, after the actor and director decided to raffle one night out with him last Feb. 4, when his latest movie "The Monuments Men" premiered.
Jane Allen, a single mom that until recently was unknown to the public, achieved the dream of thousands of women around the world when she became the lovely companion for George Clooney during the premiere of the new movie where he returns to the director's chair.
Days before, Clooney raffled a "date" with him to raise funds to support an initiative by the Omaze organization which consists in financing a sentinel satellite that will have the function of preventing crimes against humanity in Sudan, an effort that has already gathered $1.2 million dollars, according to The Huffington Post.
The mechanics to enter George Clooney's raffle was simple: every participant only had to pay $10 to get their name in a list of candidates from which the winner would be picked in early February.
Finally, Jane Allen, who confessed this would be her first date since her divorce in 2010, according to Univisión, which is why the excited woman, accompanied by her daughter, didn't hide her emotions when she met the movie star.
Jane Allen and her daughter accompanied the actor behind the cameras in "The Late Show With David Letterman", then they walked down the red carpet for the premiere of "The Monuments Men", and finally, they went together to the VIP cocktail celebrated in honor of George Clooney's fifth film as a director.
"The Monuments Men" is based on the real-life story of a group of museum curators and historians that undertook the task of recovering art from the destruction of World War II.
