It wasn't long ago when Lea Michele experienced a tragic loss that came with the death of her boyfriend and "Glee" co-star, Cory Monteith.
For the March issue of Teen Vogue magazine, the 27-year-old singer and actress opened up to her best friend, Jonathan Groff, in an interview. She revealed about her relationship with the late actor, particularly his support in her music endeavors.
She told Groff, "He was such a fan, you don't understand. He would be like, 'You're going to be a pop star! What are we going to do? Are we going to, like, go on the road?' He would say, 'This is going to be big!' And I'd be like, 'I don't know.'
Michele continued, "He heard every song and gave me his notes on everything. He loved 'Battlefield.' I'm getting chills thinking about it."
As for Cory's favorite song in the singer-actress's album, she reveals, "I would say 'Burn with You' was his favorite. He came into the studio that day."
After everything that she has been through, Groff couldn't help but complimented her on the grace and poise that she mustered through her ordeal.
"Watching you go through what you went through, I saw you exhibit so much strength. Where do you think that strength comes from? I can't comprehend it."
She replied, "I somehow feel the insane love Cory and I had for each other morphed into this strength that I have right now. There's just something about knowing he's watching everything I'm doing and feeling like I have to do everything now not just for me but for him. I also have a safety net below me -- if I fall or if it's too much, my friends and family will be there to catch me."
The Daily Mail noted that the star did admit that she is not quite ready to meet someone yet. "I'm focusing on my job and taking care of myself. Maybe in a little while I'll be like, 'What do I want?' But I'm not quite there yet."
