Samuel L. Jackson has revealed that he is almost done with his nine-picture deal with Marvel.
The noted actor, who also appeared in the "Star Wars" prequels, plays the Nick Fury in the Marvel film universe.
"I just know that the Marvel Universe is there, that there are things going on, and that I have three pictures left on my nine-picture deal. That's all I know, "Jackson said in an interview with Fandango regarding his future in the Marvel universe. "I've done six [Marvel movies], and I'm about to do [number] seven [Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron], so I'm running out of Marvel pictures -- unless they extend my contract."
Jackson has appeared in "Iron Man," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel's The Avengers," and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." He will appear in the 2015 "Avengers: Age of Ultron" but there is no word if his eighth film will be in the rumored "Dr. Strange" movie.
It would be difficult to imagine a Marvel movie without Jackson's presence, so it is likely he'll be offered a new contract at some point in the next few years.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is slated to start production in coming weeks and is slated for a May 1, 2015 release date.
The film has already been labeled as "darker" by star Mark Ruffalo. The film also stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr. among others.
