In an announcement during an episode of "Teen Wolf" it was revealed that MTV's Unplugged special will be in for another edition, this time, with "We Can't Stop" artist, Miley Cyrus.

The 25-year-old franchise from MTV has already given viewers memorable performances from Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Jay Z, and Korn, among others, putting Cyrus in the same line as these history makers.

According to the network's press release by MTV, this new edition will "showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus and feature surprise guests for an unexpected re-invention of the songs that have defined her career, including several from her #1 critically acclaimed album, Bangerz."

Surprise guests will join in on the unplugged party. They also added that "while we're used to raucous teddy-bear dancing like her 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance or a giant crying face projection at the MTV EMA, this show will include more intimate reinventions of her Bangerz tracks, like 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball.'"

It was not that MTV chose Cyrus to present her special that caused raised eyebrows, though. It was the Unplugged poster itself. In honor of the upcoming 'Unplugged' special, the singer posted on Instagram a teaser poster of herself wearing a chin-length blonde wig with sparkly star-shaped nipple pasties and fake buckteeth.

Gossip Girl posted a scathing remark about the photo, asking its readers, "What do you get when you mix strippers with a cheap Halloween store and something that Lady Gaga did months ago? Answer: Something along the lines of Miley Cyrus' poster for her new MTV Unplugged special, airing Jan 29."

E! News said that MTV released a statement about their new choice actress. From Amy Doyle, Executive VP of Music and Talent Programming Strategy for MTV  "The Unplugged stage has been home to some of the most iconic live performances of all time. Miley's vision for the performance is like nothing we've ever seen. I can say that this will easily be one of the most memorable Unplugged performances to date."

Cyrus will also proceed with her "Bangerz" tour, which will kick start in Vancouver on February 14.
