It seems that cast members of "Guardians of the Galaxy" are just as excited as movie fans about the upcoming film since they can't help themselves from dishing out details about their characters.

The newest star who joined in giving the fans a sneak peek is "The Walking Dead" actor, Michael Rooker. Last year, Deadline reported that Rooker will be joining the "Guardians" cast as Yondu, a hunter who is a founding member of the group.

In a recent article on Cinemablend, the actor shared details about his character's new look. In the original comics, Yondu is a blue-skinned alien with a large reddish fin protruding from the top of his head to his spine and wears a loincloth.

But for the film, Rooker worked closely with "Guardians" director James Gunn in developing a more modern appearance for the intergalactic hunter. Although his skin will still be blue, fans will surely notice the big changes in the character's look.

In an interview with Unrendered Podcast posted on ComcBookMovie, Rooker talked about his final costume as Yondu. He said, "As you can see from some of the photos out there, I'm not in a loincloth. I don't have a major, major fin thing that goes down my back. We haven't visually gone with the way that Yondu was in the comics." Based on the pictures, it seems Yondu will be rocking a mohawk instead of a fin.

When asked to comment on Gunn's artistry as a director, Rooker answered, "He allows me to do my thing, and he has great comments. Very good director...when you're lost in the woods, he can direct you."

However, Rooker did not go into detail about his character's story in the film. In the comics' storyline, Yondu first appeared as an alien hunter. He does not have any superhuman physical powers but has the ability to develop empathic relationships with any living organism by using telepathy.

If you want to see Yondu's makeover, Newsarama posted pictures of Rooker while in full costume during the filming of "Guardians of the Galaxy".
