Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have double the reasons to celebrate the pregnancy, as the couple will be having not one, but two little ones on the way. A rep for the "Thor" actor confirmed to People that the star and his wife of three years are expecting twins.
The new kids are due in early spring, MTV reports.
Already proud parents to their 20-month old daughter, India Rose, the couple's top priority is to balance work and family life. According to Huffington Post, Pataky said about their marriage, "You have to make an effort and try to stay together as much as you can. If we start splitting and doing other things it's not going to last. It's difficult because you have to give up some things because you want to keep the family together. We try and keep it as normal as much as we can - like a typical family."
The actor agrees, saying that being a father is the best experience he's ever had. About fatherhood and his relationship with his daughter, he said, "I love it. It's the greatest thing I've ever been a part of. When I am at work, she's what I'm thinking about, and when I'm not at work, she's who I'm hanging out with!"
He also added, "I think [parenthood] brings out the child in all of us. That's what's so beautiful. It reminds you of the fascination you had with things, and how you can spend hours just being with someone. It's amazing."
The couple met and began dating in early 2010 and got married in December of the same year. Their daughter, India Rose, was born almost a year and a half later in May 2012.
Congratulations are also in order for Chris's younger brother Liam, who spilled on Leno (as reported in The Hollywood Gossip) in November that he loves being an uncle, saying, "I love my brothers' kids. It's funny, as an uncle you become so protective of them. When I go away and I shoot something, I constantly just want to see photos of them. It's a beautiful thing. I love watching my brothers raise their kids and not have to do it for myself and have the responsibility."
Chris Hemsworth has a whopping four films in the works, including "The Avengers 2", as well as a sequel for "Snow White and the Huntsman".
