The Critics Choice awards has announced their Best Picture of the year with "American Hustle" and "12 Years a Slave" taking home a number of awards.

The Steve McQueen drama took home the Best Picture award as well as the Best Supporting Actress award for Lupita Nyong'o, and Best Adapted Screenplay award for John Ridley.

The David O. Russell film took home Best Comedy and Best Acting Ensemble. The film also took home a Best Comedy Actress award for Amy Adams and Best Makeup.

"Gravity" was also a huge winner as the movie took home the Best Director award for Alfonso Cuaron, Best Actress in an Action movie for Sandra Bullock, and Best Cinematography. The movie also won Best Editing, Best Science Fiction Film, Best Score, and Best Visual Effects.

As predicted, the Best Supporting Actor award went to Jared Leto for "Dallas Buyers Club" and the Best Actor award went to Matthew McConaughey for the same film. Spike Jonze won the Best Original Screenplay award for "Her."

Cate Blanchett also continued her winning streak as she was crowned Best Actress for her role in "Blue Jasmine."

"The Great Gatsby" went home with the Art Direction and Best Costume Design.

The French film "Blue is the Warmest Color" won the Best Foreign Film award after having been snubbed at the Academy Awards. The film also won the Best Young actress award for Adele Exarchopoulos. "Frozen" continued its winning streak taking home Best Animated Film and Best Song.

The Radius TWC Documentary "20 feet From Stardom" surprised by winning Best Documentary award.

Mark Wahlberg was also among the winners as he took home the Best Actor in an Action movie for his work on "Lone Survivor." The film also won the Best Action Movie beating out "Iron Man 3" and "Rush." Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio won the Best Actor in a Comedy award for his turn in "The Wolf of Wall Street."

The Critics Choice also awarded the Louis XIII Genius Award to the trio behind the "Before" trilogy: Richard Linklater, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.
