Is "Lost's" Josh Holloway slated to star in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman?" According to reports, the actor could be joining the ever-expanding all-star cast for the Zach Snyder movie.
Comic Book first broke the news and wrote, "My source, General Napier, has informed me that Josh Holloway ('Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol '), who played the role of James 'Sawyer' Ford in ABC's hit-television series Lost, is being "strongly" considered for a role in Zack Snyder's 'Batman Vs. Superman.' Information about who he might be playing in the 'Man of Steel' sequel was not provided. The 44-year-old actor is currently starring in 'Intelligence,' which is a new prime-television series on CBS. It made its debut this past Tuesday."
The article surmises that Holloway could play Aquaman as reports indicate that a "Justice League of America" movie is likely to film simultaneously. However, Indiewire reports that Aquaman's appearance has been dismissed by sources.
Latino Review's El Mayimbe, who is notorious for putting out rumors about upcoming superhero films, completey refuted the claims that Holloway would appear in "Batman vs. Superman."
"Josh Holloway. Batman vs. Superman. NOT TRUE. The source on that story never heard of the phrase 'scheduling conflict,'" tweeted El Mayimbe.
El Mayimbe's response actually started a contentious conversation between him and Comic Book movie's reporter Nailbiter111, who was a bit upset by the fact that his story was completely rejected.
"Did you even look into it, or did you just do some speculating?" wrote Nailbiter111 in response to El Mayimbe. "You know actors can film more than one thing at a time?"
"A lot of my boys work at his talent agency. I made a phone call, they laughed at your story," responded El Mayimbe. "This conversation is over."
"Well, I guess we'll see who is laughing soon. There is no need to be rude to me," retorted Nailbiter111.
"Batman vs. Superman" is slated for a 2015 release date.
