Switzerland has announced its hockey roster for the upcoming Sochi Olympic games.

The team includes eight NHL players including two goalies, four defensemen and two forwards. Anaheim Ducks' Jonas Hiller and Calgary Flames Reto Berra are the goalies while the defense corp includes the Montreal Canadiens' Raphael Diaz, the Nashville Predators' Roman Josi, Mark Streit of the Philadelphia Flyers and Yannick Weber of the Vancouver Canucks. The two forwards are Damien Brunner (New Jersey Devils) and Nino Niederreiter (Minnesota Wild).

Hiller has a 2.42 goals against average and a .911 save percentage while Berra has a 2.92 GAA and a .903 save percentage. Among the defensemen, Streit has been the most productive offensively with 19 points; Josi has had 13 points while Diaz has put together zero goals and 11 assists. Weber has had three points, though he is not known as an offensive defenseman. Niederreiter has put together eight goals and 13 assists in his first season with the Minnesota Wile while Brunner has had eight goals and five assists this season for the Devils.

Defensemen: Severin Blindenbacher (ZSC Lions), Raphael Diaz (Montréal Canadiens), Philippe Furrer (SC Bern), Roman Josi (Nashville Predators), Mathias Seger (ZSC Lions), Mark Streit (Philadelphia Flyers), Julien Vauclair (HC Lugano), Yannick Weber (Vancouver Canucks).
