The North Texas Film Critics have selected "Gravity" as the Best Film of the Year.

The movie went home with four awards including Best Director for Alfonso Cuaron and Best Actress for Sandra Bullock. The Best Cinematography award was also given to "Gravity." Emanuel Lubezki has already won 20 Cinematography awards for "Gravity" and will most likely take the Oscar home as well.

Chiwetel Ejiofor took home the sole award for "12 Years a Slave" continuing his front-runner status for the Best Actor Award. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence picked up her second award of the day for Best Supporting Actress. The actress has already picked up six awards for her role in "American Hustle."

Jared Leto also continued his winning streak, taking home the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club."

Disney's "Frozen" continued its winning streak in the animated film category while "20 Feet From Stardom" picked up another Documentary award.

In the Foreign Film Category "The Grandmaster" tied with "Blue is the Warmest Color." The Foreign Film category continues to be one of the most mysterious categories of the year as "Blue is the Warmest Color" will not compete for the Oscar. With that movie taking home all the critics prizes it will be interesting to see if it can also win the Golden Globe.

The North Texas Film Critics is one of the newest critic's circles. Recent winners include "Lincoln," "War Horse," Up in the Air," and "Inception."

The North Texas Film Critics is an unincorporated, members-only organization of print, broadcast and internet film reviewers serving the North Texas. Among the members include Alex Bentley from Pegasus News, and Wes Singleton and Gary Murray for Pop Syndicate.
