Makers of the popular game "Final Fantasy" has promised that "memorable games" would be coming out from the company this coming year. According to a report by The Examiner, Square Enix President and CEO Yosuke Matsuda is looking at a bright future for gaming in 2014.
Matsuda further said "I think Square Enix is known for releasing 'memorable games'. We established our style in RPGs with Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. The Taito Group has developed the original arcade game Space Invaders. Our Eidos Group, that is also behind the original Tomb Raider action adventure, has been a pioneer in a new style combining RPG and FPS with Deus Ex: Human Revolution."
The company, during the Tokyo Game Show, released a new trailer for "Final Fantasy XV". It had featured game snippets for gamers, as well as a reaffirmation of the commitment to make the last game in the series the best ever, reported CinemaBlend,
The game would be available in both next generation consoles, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming platforms. The release date is still to be set, according to Racers-Republic.com. The Square Enix development team is still "focused on the development of the game" and is asking for "some patience."
In the latest press release, as reported on GamesRadar, the game would be a radical departure from the traditions of the series. In another report, this time from VideoGameWriters, that the series would provide the largest map and an open-world environment for the game. This is one of the rumored departures from the series traditions. Another change would be the battle system, with a lessening of "battle sequences" in this generation.
Furthering this thought is one of the latest comments from CEO Matsuda, saying "I think in this way the Square Enix group has built, regardless of platform, a style of game of each era. Since the appearance of Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, many RPGs have been released. I want to create more games like that."
