Director Bryan Singer has just confirmed that another installment in the X-Men franchise will be produced after Days of Future Past.

Perhaps some of you will ask this crucial question: "Will Jennifer Lawrence still be in that X-Men: Apocalypse movie?"

Can't blame you for side-stepping the main leads and inquiring about the star in the supporting role - who doesn't love watching the Hunger Games star on big screen? The golden girl certainly can act and has the looks to match the enormous talent.

Right now, there are no confirmations on whether the same cast will be returning for the future sequel. Director Bryan Singer only announced of the project just last week, which surprised many, including James McAvoy. The talented actor has played Charles Xavier in the previous iteration of the X-Men movie franchise, as well as this coming summer's release, X-Men: Days of Future Past, which will be out May 23, 2014.

"I only heard about it this morning!" he exclaimed in response during a Red Carpet News TV interview, reported ComingSoon.net. While he didn't confirm being cast in X-Men: Apocalypse, he mentioned he's been hired to portray the Professor for a third time.

So far, the only confirmed fact is the title of the upcoming sequel and its release date, May 27, 2016. Looks like both director and studio are confident about releasing Apocalypse right on the dot.

Previously, Singer tweeted that Apocalypse "is not an alien," which only served to spark further rumors at how the 2016 film will play out and which new characters to expect. SuperHeroHype speculated that Bishop and Blink may be most likely to appear as they are "key 'Age of Apocalypse' characters," referring to the storyline that's most likely the basis of the upcoming special effects flick.

The site also mused that clues to the next movie may be gleaned from the ending of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Perhaps the hyper-sleuthing may be unnecessary by May 2014 as more updates may trickle down by then.
