The close relationship between actors Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker helped to create the great success of the "Fast and Furious" franchise. The chemistry between the stars of the action films went beyond a professional relationship and became a friendship that was reflected on the big screen.

This is why Paul Walker's premature departure last November 30, at 40 years of age not only shocked fans but left an indelible mark among the people that worked with him during the past decade.

Recently, Vin Diesel shared on Facebook the hard moments he went through when he arrived at Cheryl Walker's house to support her for the lost of his sone who was starting to shine on other projects besides "Fast and Furious".

As Vin Diesel himself said on Facebook, the actor couldn't stand the pain caused by the loss of his friend and fell apart.

"When I heard, I immediately flew back to California, and went directly from the plane to his mother's house... I thought they needed my strength, but realized when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs. His mother hugged me and said I am so sorry... I said sorry? You're the mother who lost a son?...She said yes, but you lost your other half..."

Last week, the actor paid homage to his friend, who he met in 2001 during the filming of the first "Fast and Furious" film.

According to People en Español, Vin Diesel said Walker was an "angel" and a "brother", and said that Walker's legacy will live for a long time.

"If he could see how all of you came to show your love... That his family can see how much love you're showing for Paul. This is going to stay with me forever," Vin Diesel said.
