The Nokia Lumia 520 continued its reign as the top Windows Phone device in France and Italy, while the Nokia Lumia smartphone dominated Windows Phone usage.
France:
According to AdDuplex, the Lumia 520 accounted for a "massive" 37.4 percent of the Windows Phone devices market share in France, as noted by AdDuplex's Alan Mendelevich. The Lumia 520's latest percentage is a growth of approximately 5 percentage points from October.
The HTC 8S is the first of two non-Nokia Lumia smartphones to rank in AdDuplex's French Windows Phone devices market share. The HTC 8S placed second with 11.8 percent while the HTC 8X edged at tenth with 3 percent.

The Lumia 920 started the Nokia Lumia streak at third place with 8.6 percent, which was 2.6 percentage points ahead of the Lumia 610's 6 percent.
The Lumia 820 rounded the top five with 5.9 percent.
The Lumia 625 made its debut in the top 10 Windows Phone devices ranks with sixth place, or 5.1 percent of the market share.
Italy:
In Italy, the Lumia 520 accounted for 23.7 percent of the market share.
The Lumia 610 was not far behind the Lumia 520, in comparison to France's figures. The Lumia 610 garnered 13.5 percent of the Windows Phone devices market share, which was 2 percentage points higher than the Lumia 820's 11.5 percent.
The Lumia 800 placed fourth with 9.8 percent while the Lumia 920 rounded the top five with 8 percent.
The Italian Windows Phone devices market share chart by AdDuplex featured no other brand except for the Nokia Lumia.
AdDuplex collected its latest data by gathering information from 2,087 Windows Phone apps running on AdDuplex SDK version 2 on Nov. 22.
What's made the Lumia 520 popular?
The Lumia 520 sports a 4-inch screen display with 800x480 resolution. The rear-facing camera has 5 megapixels while no secondary camera is present and the Windows Phone 8 smartphone has 8GB for internal storage with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone uses a 1,430mAh battery. The Lumia 520's price has also been considered a factor, but it varies by country.
