According to WhatsApp Inc., the app improved share locations from 3-D map view and hide and search places. In addition, the app features new notification alerts and sounds.
With the iOS 7 user interface, the app allows better management of blocked content. Users of the app can also crop images before sending to another user, whether just one person or a group.
Known as version 2.11.5, the latest WhatsApp Messenger App requires 18.6MB of memory.
The app has so far been met with positive reviews as seen on iTunes.
"Very stable with no crashes and a lovely iOS 7 design," wrote Sherif Moharram. "Loving the new notification sounds too."
"It took a while but it's finally iOS 7 compatible. Thanks! Best chat app," commented xfibre.
"Finally an update for compatibility with iOS 7, it moves a bit slow sending messages though, but appearance is good," wrote JJayLani, who rated the app four of five stars. "Lost star for speed."
The iOS 7 compatibility of the WhatsApp Messenger app comes more than two months after Apple released its newest mobile operating system on Sept. 18.
