Everton and Manchester United will face off on Wednesday in the English Premier League.

Everton is starting to show signs of improvement under new manager Roberto Martinez. After starting the year with three straight draws, the team has managed to put together a run of three wins in their last six games. The team only has one loss in 2013-14 and that came on Oct. 5 against Manchester City. Following that match, the team took down Hull City 2-1 at home and defeated Aston Villa 2-0 on the road. Three straight draws against Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Liverpool ensued but the team rallied for a 4-0 win over Stoke City this weekend at home. Now the side will look to take on the struggling defending Champions Manchester United at the Old Trafford.

"We are excited to go to Old Trafford and pay them the respect they deserve as they are champions," said Martinez about the impending game, according to ESPN. ''I do feel the game at Old Trafford is as big a test as we are going to get but after 13 games in the league I feel we are ready for that."

United's struggles are well documented. The team has lacked a concrete identity under David Moyes and is currently nine points out of the title race. The side is coming off two straight draws against Cardiff City and Tottenham. Fortunately, United has not lost since a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home against West Bromwich Albion.

Wayne Rooney has been the lone bright spot for the team with eight goals on the season. Robin Van Persie could see some time on Wednesday after struggling with a calf injury.

Prediction: United has been solid at home but Martinez has his troops more organized. Expect a 2-2 draw from this match.
