Jennifer López who in the past has won many awards for her professional career and for her support of the LGBT community will be awarded a new award, this time for her devotion as a mother of two five-year-old children.
The March of Dimes Foundation, an organization that works to prevent congenital malformations, premature births and child mortality, has decided to honor JLo with the prestigious Grace Kelly award in a ceremony that will take place next Friday in Beverly Hills, California.
JLo, mother of twins Maximilian and Emme, will be honored with the award for being an exemplary celebrity mother and for her support of education campaigns in favor of healthy babies, according to People en Español.
The "Exemplary Mother" award will be handed to the successful Latina at the eighth annual March of Dimes lunch thar will take place on Friday, December 6 at a Beverly Hills hotel.
The Puerto Rican singer and actress reaffirmed her commitment towards campaigns in favor of healthy births.
"As a mother, I myself am conscious of the importance of a healthy pregnancy and baby," said Lopéz in a press release quoted by Europa Press.
Besides the "Diva of Bronx", March of Dimes will acknowledge the labor of the President and Executive Director of A&E, Nancy Dubuc and Doctor Balaji Govindaswami, chief of medicine for the recently created Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
