Eighteen year-old pop sensation Justin Bieber has landed a guest spot on the Fox cartoon The Simpsons. The "Boyfriend" singer tweeted, "just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy," yesterday to his almost 27 million followers before mysteriously deleting it.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Simpsons executive producer Al Jean confirmed the star's appearance on the show. Jean elaborated, "He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won't admit him." He later joked, "Draw your own conclusions."
Bieber will star as himself in an episode titled "The Fabulous Faker Boy," which is set to air as part of the show's 24th season.
The stint, however, will be brief. Jean told EW, "It's a cameo but all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he's on." He will join fellow celebrities, Zooey Deschanel, Natalie Portman, Edward Norton, Ann Hathaway and Steve Carell.
The show's 24th season premier is scheduled for September 30 but Bieb's episode is set to air in 2013.
