When Gabriela Hernández Guerra had her heart broken, she let the whole world see. Apparently suffering from the fallout of a breakup, Guerra posted messages to her Facebook page describing her depression and warning her friends about her intentions befor committing suicide in her Mexico home recently.
According to Sin Embargo, Guerra, 22, was a tele-highschool student and flower arrangement vendor from the municipality of Yecuatla in the state of Veracruz. She had reportedly met an Ecuadorian man online with whom she had a months-long virtual relationship and, after having sentimental issues in their relationship, she fell into a deep depression.
The man, whom she refers to as "Julio" in one of their messages, seems to have made the decision to end their relationship.
"Today everything ended and it was my fault I love you forgive me my love GOODBYE," wrote Gabriela in a Nov. 5 Facebook post.
Moments later, she uploaded a picture of her crying, along with the message "Because I met you now you leave me with a huge emptiness I never thought I'd love at a distance never regret it because when that happens I wont be here for you, your attitude hurts me, you were only looking for an excuse to leave me."\
Gabriela's last post shows her with a blue sheet tied around her neck, tears in her eyes, smiling.
"Goodbye everyone I have nothing nothing I don't have anything anymore Julio I love you never forget it I leave with a smile because you made me so happy while it lasted to family I ask for forgiveness Gabi loves you".
According to El Universal, Edminio, Gabriela's brother, found her body when he arrived home. Gabriela's family told Yecuatla authorities that the young woman was going through a deep depression but they didn't think she was capable of committing suicide.
The authorities in charge of the investigation will carry out an autopsy on Gabriela's body despite the evidence pointing to suicide. Her Facebook profile has been closed.
