The International Mobile Photography Day was celebrated on Oct. 20, which shares the same numerals as the Lumia 1020.
Eight days later, Nokia released a video commemorating the occasion.
"On October 20, Nokia invited the world to share the power of mobile photography...and the world delivered," started Nokia in their 90-second video.
The video showcases snapshots taken by Lumia 1020 owners. Snapshots were collected from near and far including Abu Dhabi, Calgary, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, London, Miami, New York, San Diego, Toronto, and Washington D.C., to name a few. Fittingly, the last image shown was from Finland, which is where Nokia is based.
Lumia 1020 smartphone owners were able to submit their photographs on Twitter via the hashtag #1020MobilePhotoDay.
The Lumia 1020's features include a 4.5-inch screen with 1,280x768 pixels covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The new Windows Phone 8 device has 32GB of internal storage for 2GB of RAM. The device includes a rear-facing camera with a 41-megapixel sensor and front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels. The smartphone also packs a 2,000mAh battery.
The Lumia 1020, an exclusive smartphone in the U.S. with mobile carrier AT&T, will cost the consumer $199.99 when upgrading or signing a two-year contract.
