The Philadelphia Eagles could likely make a deal to bring in Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor in the future, a source close to situation reported on Friday.

The 24-year-old Pryor finally got a chance to run the Raiders offense this season after sitting on the bench for the majority of his first two years in Oakland.

However, with Carson Palmer already gone, Pryor has now been given the green light to become the Raiders' primary signal-caller. This decision proved to be wise as Pryor emerged as one of the most dynamic young quarterbacks in the NFL.

In six starts, Pryor already threw for 1,149 yards on 99-for-157 passing with five touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also rushed for 391 yards with one touchdown.  Moreover, the Raiders now boast a 3-4 record in a very competitive AFC West.

Eagles Wants Pryor

According to ESPN NFL insider Chris Sprowl, Eagles coach Chip Kelly has long coveted the chance of having Pryor as his main signal-caller dating back to his college years.

In fact, Kelly heavily recruited the Raiders quarterback to play for Oregon, but the blue-chip prospect decided to play near his home at Ohio State.

Moreover, the Eagles reportedly tried to snatch Pryor last summer in exchange for draft picks, but the negotiations didn't materialize. In the end, the Raiders decided to live and die with Pryor this season while the Eagles found themselves stuck with underachieving quarterbacks in Michael Vick and Nick Foles.

Breaking Down the Potential Trade

With Kelly struggling to find his ideal quarterback in his first season as a coach, the Eagles might likely be on the move next summer to get Pryor from the Raiders.

The Eagles have several assets such draft picks and young talents to dispose of in an attempt to get a big, fast-running quarterback that fits Kelly's unique, fast-paced offense.

On the other hand, the Raiders might be forced again to tank this season if things don't look well in the succeeding weeks. Next year's draft will be loaded with high quality quarterbacks and the Raiders could find itself in contention for the likes of Texas A&M Johnny Manziel or perhaps Florida State hotshot Jameis Winston in future draft.
