After the rumors of Monday, October 28, which spoke of a breakup between Mexican singer Anahí and her fiancé, politician Manuel Velasco, her agent dismissed the rumors and said that the couple are still engaged.
In an exclusive interview with People en Español, Guillermo Rosas, the singer's manager, denied that Anahí and Velasco had separated over the alleged infidelity of the current Governor of Chiapas.
"Those are all lies. Everything is fine", Rosas said.
Last Monday, Mexican entertainment magazine TV Notas published an article reporting that the 29-year-old actress had called off her wedding and her relationship with Velasco over the Governor's alleged infidelity.
However, on the morning of Tuesday 29th, Anahí herself denied the rumors through her Twitter account, in which she wrote "@TVNotas Total lie! We've been a couple for a year and a half and Manuel is a man of family values. I'm very happy".
Anahí and the Governor of Chiapas, Mexico, have been dating for over a year and a half, and although nothing has been yet revealed regarding a wedding, sources close to the couple say that it is about to happen, according to magazine Quién.
The same source was able to chat with Danna Vázquez, publicist and personal friend of the couple, who confirmed that the relationship between Anahí and Velasco is stronger than ever.
"Their relationship is solid, they get along very well. Anahí and Manuel are staying together. He's a great man, she's happy", Vázquez told Quién.
Last August, People en Español confirmed the rumors regarding the couple's wedding, but so far no official date for the event has been revealed.
Since the Governor and the singer began their relationship, many have speculated that if Velasco's career were to grow, the singer might even become Mexico's First Lady.
